Tell Me Why does seem to be the most egregious of the lot though where current hot button issues such as Transgenderism and Identity Politics are so ham-fisted into the plot that you can almost hear all the woke activists cheer in loud unison. Nuanced writing continues to evade the studio and once again poor character development is back on the menu. While I applaud the studio for picking up current day issues such as being gay or racism, bigotry and what it feels like to be a migrant in modern day America which is tackled in the first two Life is Strange games, their heavy-handidness when it comes to topics like this can often leave players at arms length. Tell Me Why is the third full length narrative-driven adventure game from studio DontNod, that same studio that hit it big with their first venture into the genre - the wildly popular and successful Life is Strange - and while much of the studios weaknesses from that game have once again carried over into this title, Tell Me Why registers as their most disappointing release yet. Tell Me Why A promising premise hindered by poor character development and narrative beats
